76ers Convert Tacko Fall to Two-Way Contract, Waive Dillon Jones and Three Others

Sunday, October 18, 2026 · City · GSM News

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia is a city in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania (a consolidated city-county). The Philadelphia 76ers converted 7-foot-6 center Tacko Fall from an Exhibit 10 training-camp deal to a two-way contract on Saturday, October 17, awarding him the team's third and final two-way spot, and waived forward Dillon Jones, guard Jameer Nelson Jr., Taye Fields and Cris Carroll. Fall, entering his fourth NBA season, had been sidelined since suffering a hip injury days into camp.

ESPN's Shams Charania first reported the conversion. Jones, a former first-round pick who was a member of the Knicks' championship team last season, appeared in four preseason games this month, averaging 4.3 points and 2.5 rebounds. All four waived players were on non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contracts and are expected to join the Delaware Blue Coats, the Sixers' G League affiliate, where they can earn bonuses of up to about $91,000 if they stay at least 60 days.

The Sixers had waived Saint Thomas and Duke Miles earlier in the week. Philadelphia now carries 17 players — 14 on standard contracts and three on two-way deals — and opens the regular season on Tuesday, October 20, on the road against the defending champion New York Knicks.
