Seahawks Stick With Sam Darnold at Quarterback Despite Offensive Struggles

SEATTLE — Seattle is a city in King County, Washington. Despite a struggling offense, the Seattle Seahawks will not make a change at quarterback. FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported on "FOX NFL Kickoff" that the Seahawks are sticking with Sam Darnold for Week 7 and are not even considering starting backup Drew Lock.
Darnold was 27-of-51 for 278 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the 17-14 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos on October 15 — his third game this season with multiple interceptions. A key figure in last season's Super Bowl run, Darnold threw 25 touchdowns against 14 interceptions last regular season; this year he has seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Glazer said the team believes the key is Darnold's chemistry with new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, and the two met and talked this past week. Lock has played in two games this season: he replaced an injured Darnold (hip) in Week 1 and started Week 2, leading Seattle to a 31-7 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Seattle's run game is also thin, with rookie Jadarian Price moved to injured reserve and Emmanuel Wilson struggling. (GSM, based on FOX Sports reporting)
