Golden Knights Rout Penguins 6-2 at Home for Eighth Win of the Season

Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, Nevada. The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-2 at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, October 17, for their eighth win of the season, continuing a strong start atop the Pacific Division picture.
Pittsburgh was playing the second night of a back-to-back, having lost 5-2 to the Colorado Avalanche in Denver the night before, and was clearly at a physical disadvantage. Vegas, meanwhile, had won seven of its first nine games with 36 goals, among the league's most potent offenses, and gave the tired visitors no opening at home.
Vegas improved to 8-2-0; the Penguins dropped their second straight to fall to 3-5-1. The Golden Knights also beat the Calgary Flames 6-2 on Thursday behind a Mark Stone hat trick and remain on a winning run. They stay home for their next stretch, while Pittsburgh looks to reset after the back-to-back losses.
