Butler County Man Indicted for Receiving Firearm and Ammunition Intended for ISIS Terrorist Attack

Sunday, October 18, 2026 · Justice · GSM News

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania announced on October 6 that a federal grand jury has indicted Jonathan Hunter Kramer, 21, of Valencia, Butler County, on one count of receiving a firearm and ammunition on or about September 12, 2026, knowing they were intended to be used in a terrorist attack and to provide support to the terrorist organization ISIS.

Prosecutors said Kramer had previously been charged by criminal complaint and remains in custody. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000; any actual sentence would be determined by the court under the federal sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors.

An indictment is only an accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Kramer is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. (GSM, based on the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania release)
