5th Annual Anti-Human Trafficking Walk for Youth Set for Oct. 24 at Riverside City Hall

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Riverside is a city in Riverside County, California. The 5th Annual Anti-Human Trafficking Walk for Youth, hosted by the nonprofit Magdalena's Daughters, will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Riverside City Hall, 3900 Main Street. Admission is free and open to everyone.
Held under the theme "Freedom belongs to every child," the event brings together youth, families, community leaders, service providers and advocates to raise awareness about human trafficking and strengthen the connections that help protect young people. This year's walk adds a Harvest Fest and Halloween experience, with a community walk, a best-dressed costume contest, candy for children, pumpkins and fall activities, live entertainment and dancing, food and refreshments, and youth and family resource tables. Registered walkers receive a medal and swag bag while supplies last.
The organizers say human trafficking prevention begins long before exploitation occurs — when young people have safe relationships, trusted adults, supportive communities and places where they belong. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and families are encouraged to wear family-friendly costumes.
