CXMT Forecasts Third-Quarter Revenue Up About Sixfold and Nine-Month Profit of RMB 131–132.5 Billion; Chairman Proposes Buyback

HEFEI — CXMT Corporation, China's DRAM memory-chip maker listed on Shanghai's STAR Market (688825), has issued its third-quarter earnings forecast, projecting third-quarter revenue of RMB 114.7 billion to 119.7 billion, up about 589% to 619% from a year earlier, and third-quarter net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 53.4 billion to 54.9 billion. For the first three quarters of 2026, net profit is forecast at RMB 131 billion to 132.5 billion, a swing from loss to profit.

The forecast extends a breakout first half, in which CXMT's revenue surged 873.64% to RMB 150.31 billion and net profit reached RMB 77.6 billion, also a turnaround to profit. The company has attributed the surge to rapid growth in global computing demand and capacity adjustments by major producers that left DRAM in short supply and pushed prices sharply higher, lifting its main-business gross margin from about 41% for full-year 2025 to about 84.84% in the first half of 2026.

Alongside the forecast, CXMT disclosed that its chairman, Zhu Yiming, has proposed that the company buy back between RMB 1 billion and 2 billion of its shares. The proposal comes amid a wave of buyback plans by STAR Market companies.

On the product side, CXMT's LPDDR6 has been delivered to key customers for validation and achieved its first commercial deployment, while its automotive-grade LPDDR5X is in mass production. The company has cautioned that the DRAM industry is highly sensitive to supply-demand swings, that sustained sharp price increases are not sustainable, and that tight global DRAM supply is expected to persist through the second half.
