D-Wave Quantum Hit With Securities Class Action Alleging It Overstated Business and Financial Prospects

Sunday, October 18, 2026 · Finance · GSM News

NEW YORK — Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC announced via GlobeNewswire that it has filed a securities class action lawsuit against D-Wave Quantum Inc. (NYSE: QBTS) and certain of its officers in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The suit, Case No. 5:26-cv-11953, was filed on October 15, 2026.

The action seeks to recover damages on behalf of all persons and entities that purchased or otherwise acquired D-Wave securities between February 26, 2026 and August 25, 2026, for alleged violations of the federal securities laws. The complaint alleges that throughout the class period the defendants made materially false and misleading statements regarding the company's business, operations and financial prospects — specifically, that they materially overstated D-Wave's business, operational and financial prospects, that this was reasonably likely to negatively affect the company's business and reputation, and that the defendants' public statements were therefore materially false and misleading at all relevant times. The allegations are the plaintiffs' claims and have not been adjudicated.

The complaint notes that on August 6, 2026, D-Wave reported second-quarter revenue of $3.08 million, falling short of analyst expectations of approximately $4.03 million to $4.08 million. On that news, D-Wave's stock price fell $1.99 per share, or 9.28%, to close at $19.41.

Investors who wish to serve as lead plaintiff must move the court no later than December 15, 2026. (GSM, via GlobeNewswire)
