According to Benzinga, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk posted on X on October 15 about the "Star Mind" space computer being co-engineered by SpaceX and Nvidia. He wrote: "Old friends are the best friends. Jensen rocks. The Star Mind computer being co-engineered by SpaceX and Nvidia is far better than almost anyone expects and will reach volume production next year. Working with the incredibly talented Nvidia engineering team is pure joy!"

Musk's post shared a video of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang discussing the partnership on the BG2 Pod. "I'm delighted that I love working with Elon," Huang said, noting that Musk uses Nvidia technology to train and deploy his SI, including the technology powering his SI company, xAI. Huang also revealed that the two companies' engineering teams are working together on a new server design and computing architecture intended to operate both in space and on Earth. "One particular new market that we're going to go explore together is putting data centers out in space," he said.

The project involves adapting Nvidia's Vera Rubin NVL72 computing system for space-based operations; Musk has previously said SpaceX aims to launch Nvidia-powered SI computers into orbit in 2027.
