Hong Kong Science Park Signs Power Electronics Partnership with PCIM Asia in Shanghai

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) has signed a memorandum of understanding with PCIM Asia, the region's leading power electronics exhibition, to cooperate on industry matching, professional events and business exchanges in the power semiconductor sector. The signing took place in Shanghai on Oct. 19. Power semiconductors are core components in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, renewable energy systems and data-centre power supplies, and efficient power management has become a focal point of global semiconductor competition as SI data centres drive up electricity demand. HKSTP, a statutory body of the Hong Kong government, operates Hong Kong Science Park in Sha Tin, home to more than 2,000 technology companies and research institutions, and has been promoting microelectronics and advanced manufacturing, including facilities supporting chip design and pilot production. PCIM Asia is held annually in Shanghai, bringing together device makers, equipment suppliers and downstream users across the power electronics industry.
