94th Hollywood Christmas Parade Set for November 29; Band and Float Entries Now Open
Los Angeles is a city in Los Angeles County, California. Organizers have announced that the 94th Hollywood Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2026, in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Entries for this year's parade are now being accepted, and the parade's official main charity this year is the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
According to the route published on the parade's official website, the 3.2-mile U-shaped route starts on Hollywood Boulevard at Orange Drive, travels east to Vine Street, heads south to Sunset Boulevard, and then turns west back to Orange Drive. In past years the parade has stepped off at 6 p.m., and spectators can ride the Metro Red Line to the Hollywood/Vine or Hollywood/Highland stations, both directly on the parade route.
The official 'Join The Parade' page says applications for the 2026 parade are now being accepted — and filling up fast — in the marching band, dance and cheer group, and floats and equestrian group categories, with celebrity applicant and sponsorship categories as well. Prospective participants can email [email protected] for application information or call 1-833-PARADE1 (833-727-2331). Organizers note that taking part secures a place in the live parade, but the broadcasting network decides what appears in the televised airing, so participation does not guarantee television coverage.
The parade's homepage lists hosts Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, Montel Williams and Elizabeth Stanton, while this year's Grand Marshal and Humanitarian Award honoree are still marked 'TBA' — to be announced. Recent past grand marshals include Jeremy Renner in 2024 and Luke Wilson in 2025.
First held in 1928 as the Santa Claus Lane Parade, the Hollywood Christmas Parade has taken place every year since, except for 1942 to 1944 during World War II and in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each year the parade collects toys and donations for Toys for Tots and other charities serving children in need. Laura McKenzie, the parade's executive chairperson, said in a statement on the official website that organizers are especially honored to support Toys for Tots as the official main charity this year.
