Fire Marshals Investigate Two-Alarm Fire at Houston Cleaning-Supply Warehouse
HOUSTON — Houston is a city in Harris County, Texas. Harris County fire marshals are investigating a two-alarm warehouse fire that broke out Friday night, Oct. 16, in northwest Houston. Crews responded shortly after 8 p.m. to the UniClean America cleaning-supply warehouse in the 12100 block of Antoine Drive, which stores numerous chemicals, and found it fully involved. Officials said wind helped spread the fire, causing at least smoke damage to four or five surrounding businesses, and multiple fire departments responded. Hazmat teams managed water runoff and monitored air quality, placing booms to contain runoff; water tests showed a neutral pH, and Harris County Public Health assisted. Crews are still working to identify the chemicals stored inside. Fire marshals said the cause remains under investigation, with nothing suggesting arson at this time.
