Riverside is a city in Riverside County, California. Riverside's 14th annual Pink on Parade breast cancer awareness walk will be held on Saturday, October 24, at Ryan Bonaminio Park, 5000 Tequesquite Ave, Riverside, CA 92501. According to the official registration page of the organizer, the Riverside Community Health Foundation (RCHF), registration and check-in begin at 7:30 a.m., the 5K Mt. Rubidoux walk starts at 9 a.m., and the Family Fun walk around the park starts at 9:15 a.m. The family- and pet-friendly event also features vendors, food and drink, and entertainment at the park.

The event offers two routes for one cause: a 5K route up Mt. Rubidoux, representing the cancer journey, and a beginner Family Fun route that encircles the park. Attendees who do not wish to walk either route can still enjoy the vendor village, food and entertainment. The organizer states that everyone at the event and on the routes must register and sign a waiver and release of liability, which supports participant safety and helps measure the event's growth each year. There is no minimum age requirement, and children are welcome.

Registration is through the event website, pinkonparade.org. Fees are based on age: children 10 and under are free, youth ages 11 to 17 and seniors 55 and older are $20, and adults 18 and older are $30. Students can use the coupon code STUDENT for $10 off registration fees, and service professionals can use the code SERVICE for 10% off, with proof of status possibly required at check-in. Registration fees offset event costs and are non-refundable. Teams that raise $1,000 or more earn a spot in the Team Tailgate area, and awards for the most money raised and the most spirited team will be announced at the closing ceremony at 11 a.m.

Pink on Parade is Riverside's annual breast cancer awareness walk, held to celebrate survivors, honor those who have been lost, and raise funds for The Pink Ribbon Place, Riverside's cancer resource center and a program of the Riverside Community Health Foundation. The center provides services and products at no cost to individuals and families impacted by cancer, including education and wellness programs, wigs and styling, breast prostheses, bras, chemo kits, oncology massage, support groups, counseling and bereavement support. The organizer says 100% of the proceeds from the event go directly into the programs and services of The Pink Ribbon Place.
