ULM Falls 24-0 to Louisiana Tech as Losing Streak Reaches 14

Sunday, October 18, 2026 · States · GSM News

The University of Louisiana Monroe football team's slump continues. On the night of Oct. 17 at FMOL Health | St. Francis Stadium in Monroe, ULM was shut out 24-0 by in-state rival Louisiana Tech, its 14th consecutive loss, dropping the Warhawks to 0-6 this season.

The two schools met for the first time in 26 years, now as fellow Sun Belt Conference members. ULM's last win came on Sept. 27, 2025, against Arkansas State; the team has gone more than a year without a victory.

ULM's offense was completely stifled: quarterback Aidan Armenta threw for just 105 yards with two interceptions, the team committed 11 penalties for 120 yards, and the ground game managed only 66 yards. Head coach Bryant Vincent said afterward that the team must improve in every area, especially in building a consistent running game and converting on third down.

For Louisiana Tech, quarterback Blake Baker threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns, both to Brayden Bockler, and wide receiver Marcus Calwise Jr. caught eight passes for 119 yards. Louisiana Tech improved to 4-2.

ULM travels to Troy next week, a road trip of about six and a half hours.
