No. 11 Utah, still unbeaten, edged Colorado 27-24 on Saturday night, Oct. 17, at Folsom Field in Boulder, in a game that ended at 2:14 a.m. Eastern. Shut out in the first half, Colorado stormed back with 24 second-half points: quarterback Isaac Wilson connected with DeAndre Moore on a 48-yard pass and then a 2-yard touchdown with 1:21 left to cut the margin to three, but the ensuing onside kick failed. Utah quarterback Devon Dampier made several key throws to protect the lead. Utah outgained Colorado 409 yards to 394. Deion Sanders' Buffaloes fell just short, while Utah kept its unbeaten run and College Football Playoff push intact.
