Idaho Wins 42-35 Shootout at Montana Despite Ah Yat's Five Touchdown Passes
The Idaho Vandals beat the Montana Grizzlies 42-35 on Oct. 17 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula. Montana quarterback Keali'i Ah Yat threw five touchdown passes and the Grizzlies rolled up 481 total yards while committing only two penalties, but it was not enough: Montana was shut out in the first quarter, and Idaho scored touchdowns on six of its nine possessions to control the game throughout. Montana's second-half rally fell short. According to the University of Montana's athletics report, it was a high-quality shootout, with Idaho's steadier scoring efficiency making the difference on the road.
