Maryland Launches Job Training Search Tool With More Than 900 Programs

ANNAPOLIS — Maryland Governor Wes Moore announced on October 15 the launch of a new search tool designed to rapidly connect Marylanders with more than 900 job training programs, adult education opportunities, career schools and workforce development programs.
The job training database, envisioned by Senate Bill 772 sponsored by Senate President Bill Ferguson, supports Marylanders impacted by new federal work requirements under H.R. 1, which base access to food assistance and healthcare coverage on an individual's ability to document meeting work requirements. Residents can use the tool to connect with training opportunities more quickly so they do not lose access to those supports on their path to employment. "This new search tool helps connect people with opportunities to work, wages, and wealth, ensuring they can pay for groceries and access necessary healthcare, leaving no one behind," Governor Moore said.
