North Dakota State Beats Nevada 31-17, Earns Bowl Eligibility in First FBS Season
FARGO — North Dakota State beat Nevada 31-17 at the Fargodome on October 17 to become bowl-eligible in its first season as an FBS program.
The Bison dug out of an 11-0 hole with 19 second-quarter points, capped by Jackson Williams' 100-yard return of a missed 57-yard field goal on the final play of the first half. Quarterback Nathan Hayes went 19-of-25 for 153 yards and two touchdowns. A crowd of 18,261 saw NDSU improve to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the Mountain West, tied with Wyoming and Air Force atop the conference. (GSM, based on North Dakota State Athletics)
