Former NFL Returner Cordarrelle Patterson Arrested in Tennessee on Suspicion of Domestic Assault

GATLINBURG — Former NFL return specialist Cordarrelle Patterson was booked into the Sevier County Jail in Tennessee in the early hours of Saturday, October 17, on suspicion of domestic-violence assault, TMZ reported. Details of the alleged incident have not been released, Patterson has not commented publicly, and he had no prior arrest record. The case remains at the allegation stage and will be decided through the legal process.
Patterson is one of the most accomplished return men in NFL history: his nine career kickoff-return touchdowns are a league record, and his 109-yard kickoff return for Minnesota against Green Bay in 2013 is tied for the longest ever. He was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers during training camp in July 2025 and has not signed with a team for the 2026 season. (GSM, based on TMZ and EssentiallySports reports)
