Vermont Hockey Stuns Boston University as Filak Scores Late Winner
BURLINGTON — The University of Vermont men's hockey team, picked in the preseason to finish last in Hockey East, stunned Boston University. Zachary Filak scored the go-ahead goal on a rebound at 8:10 of the third period, The Hockey News reported.
Vermont narrowly missed the sweep, falling in overtime in the second game of the weekend series. The upset stands as one of the Catamounts' signature results of the young season. (GSM, based on The Hockey News)
