Treasury Sanctions Four Chinese Companies Over Iranian Oil Purchases and Shipments

Monday, October 19, 2026 · Federal · GSM News

The U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on October 19 added four Chinese companies to its sanctions list: Shandong Jincheng Petrochemical Group, Shandong Haiyou Petrochemical Group, Shandong Shengxing Chemical, and crude terminal operator Rizhao Shihua Crude Oil Terminal Co., Ltd.

Treasury said the four companies were involved in purchasing and transporting Iranian crude oil, including cargoes moved through tankers of Iran's so-called shadow fleet. In its statement, the department said the United States would continue to act against Iran's oil export network and the foreign refining and terminal companies that support it.

The designations are the latest in a series of Treasury actions targeting the Iranian oil trade chain, which has previously seen a number of foreign refineries and terminal operators listed over Iranian crude transactions.
