Justin Bieber's Ex-Girlfriend, Australian Model Sahara Ray Dies at 34, Months After Welcoming Daughter

Australian model and swimwear designer Sahara Ray died in hospital on October 18 at the age of 34. Her family confirmed to TMZ that she passed away surrounded by family, saying: "She was so loved."
According to the Daily Mail, she was rushed to hospital on Friday night and placed on life support, which her family decided to withdraw on Sunday; the paper reported a suspected fentanyl overdose, but her cause of death has not been officially confirmed.
Ray welcomed her first child, daughter Snow, in January; the baby is now nine months old. Her final social media post, in July, shared photos of her daughter with the caption: "My whole heart, baby Snow."
Her mother, Gretchen Bach, told the Daily Mail her daughter was "an incredibly passionate and kind young woman who loved her family, fashion, her daughter, Snow, and surfing."
Ray, the daughter of Australian surfing legend Tony Ray, founded her own swimwear label, Sahara Ray Swim. She became widely known in 2016 when she was photographed vacationing in Hawaii with singer Justin Bieber during their brief romance. She had spoken openly about her addiction struggles, checking into a Malibu treatment center in 2021, and in recent years had been living with Guillain-Barre syndrome. Friends including model Lottie Moss have posted tributes to her.
