Jackson State Homecoming Parade Draws Thousands Under 'Thee Greatest Show' Theme
Jackson State University held its annual homecoming parade and tailgate celebration on Oct. 17 under this year's theme, 'Thee Greatest Show,' drawing thousands of alumni, students and fans into downtown Jackson. Floats, marching bands and procession units rolled through as the campus area kept a festival atmosphere all day.
Homecoming at Jackson State, one of the nation's historically Black universities (HBCUs), is among Mississippi's signature fall community events, drawing alumni back from across the country. Campus police said the event remained orderly throughout. (GSM, via WLBT, WJTV and Mississippi Express)
