Cemetery Caretaker Slashed in the Face in Providence; Suspect Fled on Foot
A caretaker at Grace Church Cemetery on Broad Street in Providence was attacked on Oct. 18. Police said that in the evening, a caretaker returning to the cemetery found an unidentified man inside the grounds and was slashed in the face with a knife when he approached to question him.
The injured caretaker, 55, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. A second caretaker, 41, was also confronted by the same man but was not injured. The attacker fled on foot. Police are searching for the suspect and the investigation is ongoing. (GSM, via Providence Focal — single-source report)
