Free Paper Shredding Event in Irvine on October 24 at Lakeview Senior Center; Up to Five Boxes Per Resident

The City of Irvine, in Orange County, California, will host a free paper shredding event on Saturday, October 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Lakeview Senior Center, 20 Lake Road, Irvine. The City announced the event in its Fall 2026 Sustainability E-Newsletter; the event is hosted by Waste Management in partnership with the City of Irvine.
According to the City, Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes of paper. The event is first-come, first-served, and will end early if the truck's capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.
Lakeview Senior Center is located in Irvine's Woodbridge community near South Lake. The City of Irvine Sustainability Division page lists the same shredding event with the same date, Saturday, October 24, and time, 9 to 11 a.m.
