Missouri Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Producing Child Sexual Abuse Material

Tuesday, October 20, 2026 · States · GSM News

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri announced that Jeremy J.W. Crouch, 43, of Lincoln County, Missouri, was sentenced on October 20 in federal court in St. Louis to 25 years in prison. He pleaded guilty in July to one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of production of child pornography.

According to court documents, about a decade ago Crouch used a hidden camera to record three boys and took photos of one while he was sleeping in just his underwear. The victims were between the ages of 8 and 11 at the time. He possessed a total of at least 4,093 images of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation began on March 27, 2025, when the St. Charles County Cyber Crime Task Force was assigned a tip about such material detected in Crouch's Verizon account. Investigators sought a warrant for the account and arrested him after receiving data showing the material. A court-approved search of his home uncovered handwritten notes detailing his encounters with the victims, as well as electronic devices and DVDs containing the material. At the sentencing hearing, a relative of one victim described Crouch as a master manipulator who had fooled many people.

The FBI, the St. Charles County Cyber Crime Task Force and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson prosecuted it. The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood.
