North Fort Myers Drug Dealer Sentenced to 27 Years in Federal Prison for Methamphetamine Distribution

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida announced on October 20 that Frederick Taylor, 38, of North Fort Myers, Florida, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Kyle Dudek to 27 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. Taylor pleaded guilty on March 9, 2026. U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the sentence.
According to court documents and evidence presented at his sentencing hearing, Taylor was a drug dealer in the Palmona Park neighborhood of North Fort Myers who used a network of lower-level dealers and residences to distribute controlled substances, including methamphetamine. On multiple occasions, he took an order from a confidential informant and directed a subordinate dealer to complete the transaction, ultimately selling nearly a pound of methamphetamine.
A search warrant executed at his residence turned up multiple firearms and approximately $12,000 in cash.
The case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin S. Winter.
