Former NBA Star Blake Griffin Is Married: Representative Confirms to People He Wed Francesca Aiello

Tuesday, October 20, 2026 · Sports · GSM News

Former NBA star Blake Griffin has married Francesca Aiello, the founder of swimwear brand Frankies Bikinis, a representative for Griffin confirmed to People. Griffin, 37, is a six-time NBA All-Star; Aiello is 31. The time and place of the wedding were not made public.

According to People, since the wedding Griffin has been spotted wearing his gold wedding band at several events, including the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on October 18, an exclusive screening of his new talk show, The Stepback with Blake Griffin, on October 14, and the NBA on Prime Season 2 launch event, 'The Art of Basketball,' on October 13.

Griffin and Aiello have been romantically linked since June 2018, when they were seen leaving a restaurant together and, a few days later, kissing on a beach in Aiello's hometown of Malibu, California. The couple split at one point, with Griffin telling Entertainment Tonight in August 2020 that he was single; by August 2023 they had rekindled their romance and were seen vacationing together in Sardinia. Aiello quietly announced their engagement on January 22, 2025, posting a photo and video of a diamond ring on her left hand while in Costa Rica; the content has since been deleted from the post.

In a rare comment to Us Weekly in May 2025, Griffin said the couple were keeping wedding planning 'chill' and 'laid back.' Griffin retired from the NBA in April 2024 after 14 seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics. He shares a son, Ford, 13, and a daughter, Finley, 10, with his ex-girlfriend Brynn Cameron. His new show, The Stepback with Blake Griffin, premieres on October 20, with new episodes released weekly on YouTube and Prime Video.
