Former Shreveport High School Band Director Indicted on Child Pornography Charges, Arrested October 20

Tuesday, October 20, 2026 · States · GSM News

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Louisiana announced that a federal grand jury on October 8 indicted Lennard Holden, 50, of Shreveport, on charges of production of visual depictions involving the sexual exploitation of minors and possession of child pornography. Holden was arrested on October 20, 2026. If convicted of all charges, he faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to 30 years in federal prison. An indictment is merely an allegation, and Holden is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

According to court documents, the indictment alleges that Holden, a former band director at Southwood High School in Shreveport, asked a minor victim to engage in sexually explicit conduct and produce a video of the activity, and that he knowingly possessed child pornography.

The FBI's New Orleans Field Office said it is seeking to identify additional potential victims. The FBI believes Holden primarily targeted children who were members of the band at Southwood High School between 2011 and 2026, and victims or people with relevant information can contact the FBI through its victim information form.

U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Keller for the Western District of Louisiana made the announcement. The FBI investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Cheyenne Y. Wilson is prosecuting it as part of Project Safe Childhood.

Legal Assistant Amanda Morgan is assisting with the prosecution.
