Bob Iger's New Book 'One Last Time' Set for March 2, 2027: The Story of His Return as Disney CEO
Former Disney CEO Bob Iger's new book, "One Last Time: Managing Crisis and Building Resilience at Disney," will be published on March 2, 2027, by Penguin Random House, according to The Hollywood Reporter and other outlets. The hardcover is priced at $34 and runs 256 pages; an audiobook narrated by Iger himself will be released the same day.
Written with Dan Schwerin, it is Iger's second book, following his 2019 bestseller "The Ride of a Lifetime," and chronicles his second tenure as Disney's CEO. In November 2022, less than a year into his retirement, Disney's board called Iger back to return as CEO, succeeding Bob Chapek. He led the company for nearly four more years before handing over the reins earlier this year.
According to the publisher, the book recounts what Iger found on his return, with finances shaky, leadership flagging, morale low and the brand tarnished, and covers crises including two proxy battles and several Hollywood strikes. Iger describes the book as a "comeback story" about what Disney needed to find its way back to its core values and what the journey taught him about leading in a time of unprecedented challenge and change.
