Sony Pictures released the first official poster on Monday, October 19, for Jumanji: Open World, the next installment in its adventure franchise. Star Dwayne Johnson shared the poster on Instagram the same day, writing: "Two worlds collide. One final game. #Jumanji: Open World - the last game is coming exclusively to movie theatres CHRISTMAS DAY." The film is set to open in North American theaters on December 25, 2026, and is being billed as the final chapter of the series.

The poster stacks Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black and Kevin Hart in costume as their video game avatars, surrounded by a flock of ostriches peering in from every side against a snowy city street. The imagery nods to the closing scene of 2019's Jumanji: The Next Level, in which animals from the game appeared outside a restaurant in the real world. According to the official synopsis, the heroes have escaped the jungles of Jumanji before, but this time the game breaks free of its console and unleashes its chaos into the real world, reversing the premise of the earlier films.

Jake Kasdan directs, from a script he co-wrote with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. Producers include Kasdan, Johnson, Matt Tolmach, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia. Johnson returns as Dr. Xander Bravestone, with Kevin Hart as Franklin Finbar, Jack Black as Professor Sheldon Oberon and Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse. Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser'Darius Blain, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Rhys Darby and Danny DeVito also appear. Reflecting on the series, Johnson wrote on social media: "All jokes aside, our Jumanji journey has been the greatest of a lifetime."

The franchise traces back to Chris Van Allsburg's 1981 picture book, first adapted for the screen in 1995 with Robin Williams. Kasdan's 2017 reboot, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, grossed more than $950 million worldwide, and its 2019 sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level, topped $801 million globally. An official trailer was released online over the summer, and the poster launch is the latest step in the film's Christmas-season campaign.
