CPSC Issues New Stop-Use Warnings: bblüv High Chairs, Kalorik Air Fryer Ovens and Three More Products Named
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) posted a new batch of recalls and product safety warnings on October 15, naming five products for stop-use or recall over hazards ranging from falls and entrapment to burns, with no injuries reported for these five items so far. A Papablic bedside sleeper recall and a Power Quick Pot pressure cooker warning from the same batch were reported by GSM earlier.
Heading the list is the bblüv Grow high chair. CPSC says the chair's restraint systems were not preassembled to the product, violating the mandatory safety standard for high chairs and posing deadly fall and entrapment hazards. Consumers are urged to stop using the chairs immediately and dispose of them, not sell or give them away. CPSC has issued a Notice of Violation, and bblüv Group has not agreed to an acceptable corrective action plan. The chairs have a gray plastic molded bucket-style seat with a matching fabric seat cover, a gray plastic tray and four wooden legs, convert into a toddler chair, and carry the bblüv logo in white on the front edge of the tray.
The other four items: Kalorik MAXX air fryer ovens with French doors, which consumers should stop using immediately after CPSC received dozens of reported burns, including at least one case of second-degree scarring; Henan Senka dressers, named in a stop-use warning over tip-over and entrapment hazards, about 235 units; usOpal Xalirium portable bed rails, recalled over entrapment and asphyxiation hazards in violation of the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails, about 200 units; and Primark's 101 Dalmatians faux leather children's coin purses, recalled over phthalate levels and ingestion risk, about 2,100 units.
