The Broadway musical Warriors announced its first round of casting and its official schedule on October 20: previews will begin March 9, 2027, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 205 West 46th Street in New York, with an official opening on April 8, 2027. Presales for Capital One cardholders and registered fans opened at 10 a.m. ET on October 20, and general sales begin October 22 at 10 a.m. ET through BroadwayDirect.com.

The first cast of 11 features Jaci Calderon as Fox, Aneesa Folds as Cleon, Amber Gray as Ajax, Julia Harriman as Mercy, Sasha Hutchings as Cowgirl, Gizel Jiménez as Rembrandt, Jasmine Cephas Jones as Swan, Kenita R. Miller as Cochise, Sasha Allen as Cyrus, Casey Likes as the villain Luther, and Donald Webber Jr. as Masai. Most of them reprise roles they performed on the 2024 concept album; Likes moves from Jesse on the album to Luther on stage, while Calderon, Allen and Webber are new to the project.

Warriors, created by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis, adapts the 1979 cult film The Warriors, directed by Walter Hill from Sol Yurick's novel, in which a New York street gang framed for killing a rival leader fights its way from the Bronx back to Coney Island. In the musical, the gang is reimagined as an all-female group. Jenny Koons co-directs with choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, and the producers are Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Luis A. Miranda, Jr. and Jeffrey Seller. The concept album, released October 18, 2024, was executive produced by Nas and produced by Mike Elizondo, with appearances by Ms. Lauryn Hill, Marc Anthony, Billy Porter and many others.

The production will also offer $79 tickets through a lottery opening January 11, 2027, and the first two rows will be sold for $19.79 through a separate lottery beginning March 9, 2027. In a joint statement, Miranda and Davis called the show "a New York story to the bone, with music steeped in all the genres that were born and revolutionized here, from hip-hop to salsa to ska and metal," describing an edge-of-your-seat journey home.
