Rancho Palos Verdes Hosts Two Halloween Events: Pumpkin Decorating on Oct. 29 and a Dog Costume Paw-rade on Oct. 31

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes, in Los Angeles County, California, will host two Halloween events at Eastview Park, 1700 Westmont Drive.
On Thursday, October 29 at 4 p.m., the city holds a Pumpkin Decorating Event. The city will provide pumpkins, stickers, paint and glitter; free pumpkins are first come, first served and limited. It is a decorating event, not pumpkin carving, and finished pumpkins may — with their owners' permission — be showcased at the October 31 parade.
On Saturday, October 31 from 10 a.m. to noon, the annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Paw-rade takes place at the Eastview Dog Park, with costumed dogs parading, a photobooth, and a goodie bag for every dressed-up dog. In an October 23 update, the city reminded attendees that dogs must remain on a leash of six feet or less, that registration is available online or on site, and that costumes are encouraged but full-face masks are discouraged. Questions: [email protected] or 310-544-5260.
The organizer's announcements do not state any admission charge; check with the city's parks department before attending.
