Fifth Golden Harvest Parade Set for October 24 in Sacramento: Free Admission and Free Light Rail Rides
The fifth annual Golden Harvest Parade & Music/Dance Festival will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Capitol Mall Greens, 1300 7th Street, in front of the State Capitol in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California. Admission is free.
The event is hosted by the nonprofit Golden Harvest Parade, founded in 2016 to bring together the many ethnic communities of the greater Sacramento area and foster unity and harmony. A vendor fair, stage performances and children's games begin at 10:00 a.m., and the parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. Over the past four years, with support from the City of Sacramento, sponsors, local businesses and cultural groups, the festival has become a platform for communities, including the Chinese community, to share their cultures, histories and traditions.
SacRT will provide free rides to the event. Organizers say the festival will continue to expand its reach and strengthen community connections. (GSM, via the Downtown Sacramento Partnership event listing)
