North Carolina Governor Proclaims October 19–25 as National Business Women's Week in the State

North Carolina Governor Josh Stein has proclaimed October 19–25 as National Business Women's Week in North Carolina. The governor's office first published the proclamation on its website on October 19.
The proclamation cites Wells Fargo's 2025 Impact of Women-Owned Businesses Report, which ranks North Carolina second in the nation for women-owned business growth and opportunity; nationwide, women-owned businesses contribute about $3.3 trillion in revenue and about 12.9 million jobs.
The proclamation also points to recommendations in the North Carolina Division for Women & Youth's 2025 Status of Women report, and to support for women business owners through the Department of Administration's Small Business Enterprise Program.
