Conair to Invest $9.75M Expanding Its Franklin Plant, Creating 126 Jobs in Venango County, Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced on October 19 that Conair, part of Piovan Group North America, will invest $9.75 million to expand its manufacturing operations in Franklin, Venango County, creating 126 new jobs over three years and retaining 273 existing full-time jobs. The Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) released the announcement the same day.
The Commonwealth will invest $845,000 in the project. Conair's existing plant at 455 Allegheny Boulevard is at capacity; the company will lease a 157,760-square-foot building at 325 Buffalo Street for fabrication, machining and powder coating, with operations expected to begin in early 2027. The building, a former Joy Manufacturing plant, has been vacant since 2017.
DCED Secretary Rick Siger took part in the announcement. The governor's office said Pennsylvania competed against Ohio and West Virginia for the project, and that the Shapiro administration has secured more than $43 billion in private investment and about 29,000 jobs since taking office.
