Blue Bird to Invest $300 Million in New Peach County Plant: 375 Jobs Over Three Years

Georgia's governor's office announced on Oct. 21 that school bus manufacturer Blue Bird will invest $300 million in a new plant in Fort Valley, Peach County, creating 375 jobs over the next three years.
Blue Bird, headquartered in Georgia, is one of North America's leading school bus makers and currently employs more than 1,900 people in the state. The new plant will expand its bus production capacity. President John Wyskiel said the company has deep roots in Georgia and the new investment continues that commitment. State officials called the project another example of Georgia's continued manufacturing growth. The expansion builds on the company's existing Peach County presence.
