New Mexico AG Raúl Torrez Sues Epstein's Former Lawyer and Accountant in Federal Court

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 · States · GSM News

New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez has filed a federal civil lawsuit against Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, the former lawyer and accountant of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. It is the first time law enforcement has taken such action against members of Epstein's inner circle.

The suit centers on Epstein's Zorro Ranch, about 30 miles south of Santa Fe. Epstein's trust held more than $100 million, and Indyke and Kahn long managed his legal and financial affairs. Announcing the suit, Torrez said the aim is accountability and justice for survivors; survivors Julia Molchanova and Anouska De Georgiou attended the announcement.

New Mexico reopened its Epstein investigation in February of this year, and the legislature has established a "truth commission." Torrez previously sued the U.S. Department of Justice over Epstein-related records. (GSM, based on reporting by Reuters)
