Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear's office issued its Team Kentucky update on October 21, covering economic development, campus safety, election information and community items.

On campus safety, the governor wrote to Kentucky colleges calling for a 90-day review of sexual assault and harassment policies, and asked the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education to educate university board members. On elections, ahead of the November 3 election: free voter IDs are available at Driver Licensing Regional Offices, with special hours on Saturday, October 24; no-excuse early voting runs October 29–31; polls are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time on Election Day, and absentee ballots must reach county clerks by 6 p.m. on November 3 — details at govote.ky.gov.

The second Team Kentucky Food Drive runs November 1–18 through Feeding Kentucky and its 900 partner pantries; last year's drive collected more than 12,000 food items. Medical cannabis is now available in all 11 dispensary licensing regions following the October 12 opening of Sunnyside Dispensary in Floyd County. National Prescription Drug Takeback Day is October 24; the last event disposed of 15,575 pounds of medication.
