Sam Fender Announces 2027 UK and Ireland Stadium Tour: Nine Shows Including Wembley, Opening in Newcastle
English singer-songwriter Sam Fender on October 21 announced the Proper Massive Stadium Tour, a nine-show stadium run across the United Kingdom and Ireland in 2027 in support of his upcoming fourth studio album. According to Billboard and Official Charts, the tour opens June 3 at St James' Park in his hometown of Newcastle and concludes July 17 in Manchester.
Announced dates include Cardiff's Principality Stadium on June 10, London's Wembley Stadium on June 18, Dublin's Marlay Park on July 1, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on July 8 and Manchester's Etihad Stadium on July 15, with additional same-city shows completing the nine-date run. Wunderhorse will open on all dates except Dublin.
The announcement followed days of teasing: on October 19 Fender posted a Lord of the Rings-inspired video showing band members launching pyrotechnics over several stadiums, captioned 'The Beacons Are Lit!', a countdown went live on his official website on October 20, and 'SF27' signage appeared during Newcastle United's match against Aston Villa at St James' Park. Born in North Shields, Fender topped the UK albums chart with both his debut Hypersonic Missiles and its follow-up Seventeen Going Under.
