Perris Lands $5.5 Million in State Budget: $3 Million to Renovate Patriot Park, $2.5 Million for South Perris Fire Station 105

The City of Perris, in Riverside County, California, has secured $5.5 million in the state's fiscal year 2026-27 budget. The office of State Senator Sabrina Cervantes (D-Riverside, District 31) announced the funding will support two community projects: $3 million to renovate Patriot Park and $2.5 million toward construction of the new South Perris Fire Station 105.
The $3 million for Patriot Park will fund field improvements, additional parking and essential lighting upgrades. Cervantes said the investment will help build a safer, stronger and more vibrant Perris, expand outdoor spaces where families can gather, neighbors can connect and youth can thrive, and pledged to keep delivering results for the Inland Empire and communities across the 31st Senate District.
Fire Station 105 will be built at 2495 Murrieta Road and is anticipated to open in spring 2028. Perris Mayor Michael M. Vargas called the more than $5.5 million a tremendous investment that will expand recreational opportunities, strengthen public safety and improve quality of life for residents. Division Chief Mark Scoville said the new station is a crucial investment in the city's emergency response infrastructure, expanding fire service capabilities for Perris's growing population.
According to the release from Cervantes's office, both allocations are part of the California fiscal year 2026-27 budget. The Patriot Park renovation and the new fire station are among Perris's park-upgrade and south-side fire-service projects, with construction arrangements to follow now that the state funding is in place.
