North Dakota Secretary of State Presents Election Hero Award to 37-Year Elections Veteran

North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe presented this year's Election Hero Award in Jamestown to Linda Chadduck, who served 37 years in Stutsman County elections, continuing as an election inspector after her 2016 retirement from the county and for years acting as the county's unofficial elections coordinator. County Auditor Jessica Alonge nominated Chadduck for the honor.
The presentation took place on National Election Hero Day, October 20. The award is in its fourth year; past recipients include Kristin Roers in 2025, the county auditors association in 2024 and Kari Phillips in 2023.
Howe said the award recognizes the local officials and poll workers who make North Dakota's elections run.
