Bankruptcy Judge Denies Freeze Requests, Letting Hansen-Mueller Liquidation Proceed

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 · States · GSM News

A federal bankruptcy judge in Nebraska, Thomas L. Saladino, has denied requests by Harco and International Fidelity to freeze aspects of the Hansen-Mueller grain company's Chapter 11 case, allowing the liquidation to move forward.

The companies assert claims of about $7.9 million. Court filings show BMO holds loans of more than $50 million to the grain firm, with about $3.9 million in reserves at issue in the dispute over how remaining assets and grain proceeds will be distributed.

Creditors will now pursue their claims through the Chapter 11 process as the company's assets are sold.
