Police in Tacoma, a city in Pierce County, Washington, said on October 20 that three adults have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenage boy early on October 18, and that all three were booked into the Pierce County Jail for first-degree murder.

According to the Tacoma Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of 1100 Commerce Street at 2:23 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, for reports of shots being fired. They located a juvenile male with life-threatening gunshot wounds and began lifesaving measures until Tacoma Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced the boy deceased at the scene. Detectives and crime scene technicians investigated the case as a homicide.

In an October 20 update, police said detectives developed probable cause to arrest two adult males and one adult female. On October 19, one adult male was arrested in east Tacoma, while a second adult male and an adult female were arrested in Yelm, Washington. All three were booked for murder in the first degree. Police have not released the suspects' names or said what led to the shooting.

FOX 13 Seattle reported the three suspects were expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Tacoma. Police said the investigation remains active and asked anyone with information to call 911.
