Wisconsin Awards $69.5 Million in Agricultural Roads Grants Across 32 Counties

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced on October 21 that $69.5 million in grants have been awarded through the Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP), funding 39 projects across 32 counties to improve local rural roads, bridges and culverts used by farmers and producers. The funding comes from the 2025-27 biennial budget.
The governor's office said this round brings ARIP's totals to 161 projects across 60 of Wisconsin's 72 counties since the program was created in 2023, and that more than 30 million tons of agricultural products valued at $14.8 billion are transported on ARIP-funded roads each year. Evers said that in "America's Dairyland," supporting farmers and the agriculture industry — including the local roads they rely on — is essential.
