Hong Kong- and Singapore-Based Raffles Family Office Aims to Mobilise Hundreds of Millions of Dollars in Rwanda
KIGALI — Raffles Family Office, which has headquarters in Hong Kong and Singapore, says it will work with its high-net-worth clients across Asia and Africa with the aim of mobilising hundreds of millions of dollars of investment into Rwanda in the coming years. Projects include the new international airport under construction at Bugesera, as well as hospitality, tourism, entertainment, real estate, infrastructure and supporting services in Bugesera, Kigali, Musanze and the rest of the country. 'This strategic collaboration creates a compelling channel for our clients to explore Rwanda's priority growth opportunities,' said group chief executive Chi Man Kwan. The firm established its Rwandan representative office in Kigali earlier this year and in September appointed Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, a former Rwandan cabinet minister and ambassador, as principal for emerging markets and business development.
