Houston Proposes Adding $2.79 Million in CDBG Funds to Home Repair Program Contracts in October 21 Notices

HOUSTON, Texas — The Housing and Community Development Department of Houston, in Harris County, Texas, published notices on October 21 proposing amendments to the master contractor agreements of the city's Home Repair Program (HRP), aligning the tri-party agreements and related legal documents with the program's amended guidelines. A companion notice proposes allocating up to an additional $2,792,023.26 in federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the HRP master contractor agreement.
The Home Repair Program provides home repair support to eligible homeowners, and the master contractor agreements are the framework arrangements between the city and repair contractors. The city said both amendments require adoption by ordinance of the City Council before taking effect, and the full notices are posted on the department's public notices page.
