Delaware Opens 10 Days of Early Voting With 19 Sites Across Three Counties

Thursday, October 22, 2026 · States · GSM News

Delaware's 10-day early voting period for the general election opened on Thursday, October 22, ahead of Election Day on November 3, the state Department of Elections said. Registered voters may cast ballots at any early voting site in their home county rather than an assigned polling place.

Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on October 22-24, 26 and 27; sites are closed October 25; from October 28 to November 1, hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There are 19 early voting sites statewide: four in Kent County, six in New Castle County and nine in Sussex County. The registration deadline passed on October 10.

Voters may show a Delaware driver's license or state ID, a voter card or polling-place letter, or a utility bill, bank statement, government check or pay stub showing name and address; those without ID can vote after officials verify their registration and they sign an affidavit. On Election Day, voters must go to their assigned polling place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Voters can check registration and polling information at ivote.de.gov.
