Waukesha County Community Foundation Awards $304,230 to 36 Nonprofits in Its Largest Grants Cycle Ever

The Waukesha County Community Foundation (WCCF) in Wisconsin announced on October 21 that it awarded $304,230 to 36 nonprofits at its tenth annual Giving Forward Breakfast, attended by approximately 280 guests including nonprofit leaders, donors, sponsors and community partners. The foundation said this marks the largest distribution in the history of its Community Grants Cycle.
The cycle is funded through WCCF's Community Grants Fund along with Field of Interest and Donor Advised Funds held at the foundation; this year the John A. Petcoff Foundation, a local private foundation, added $100,000 to the amount available for grants. WCCF President and CEO Melissa Baxter said the milestone is a direct reflection of the generosity of its donors, past and present.
WCCF's Community Grants support organizations responding to everyday community needs across health and human services, arts and culture, seniors and healthy aging, and workforce development. The breakfast also featured a panel on literacy in Waukesha County. Founded in 1999, WCCF is a nonprofit organization that connects donors with local causes and stewards charitable funds, grantmaking and scholarships.
