CPSC Posts New Recalls and Stop-Use Warnings: Costway High Chairs, BAMAMON Finger Lights and Lithonia Luminaires Listed

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on October 22 posted a new batch of product recalls and product safety warnings, covering five recalls and three warnings, all listed on the recall pages of the commission's website.
The largest recall covers 11,532 Lithonia Lighting RSX luminaires with adjustable tilt arm mountings. The commission said it had received 13 reports of the mountings breaking, including four reports of fixtures falling, with no injuries reported; the product poses a risk of serious injury from an impact hazard.
Two recalls involve children's products. BAMAMON LED projecting finger light toys, 6,533 units, violate the mandatory standard for toys and pose a risk of serious injury or death from battery ingestion. A Costway convertible high chair, 3,332 units, violates the mandatory standard for high chairs and poses entrapment and fall hazards that risk serious injury or death. The chair lacks a passive crotch restraint, and a child can slip through the opening between the feeding tray and the seat; consumers should stop using it and contact Costway for a free replacement (proof of purchase or a product photo required, with a prepaid return label provided), and the recall notice listed no related incidents.
The remaining recalls are VQQQ gas patio heaters, 100 units, with fire and burn hazards, and CIYTI light-up princess costumes sold by FoShanShiNanHaiQuNuoAiTongZhuangShangHang, 94 units, which also involve a battery-ingestion risk and violate the mandatory toy standard.
The three stop-use warnings cover Squishy toys distributed by Kaizou Group, which pose a risk of serious injury or death from water bead ingestion; Reliancer adult portable bed rails, 237 units, which violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails and pose entrapment and asphyxiation risks; and PowRyte pressure washers, which pose serious shock and electrocution hazards, with one report of a unit lacking a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
The commission noted that federal law prohibits any person from selling products subject to a commission-ordered or voluntary recall. Remedies and company contact information for each item are posted on the recall pages of the CPSC website, and consumers can report a dangerous product or an injury at SaferProducts.gov or through the commission hotline at 800-638-2772.
